Proposes a method of indoor thermal environment control based on the occupants’ thermal complaints. The experiments show that temperature and humidity which triggered the complaints on cold/hot environment are very different among the room occupants, which implies the importance of personalized thermal comfort control. The room occupants’ thermal complaining behaviors show the relationship with the personal characters of sensitivity, expressivity and stability. Explores the influence of energy information feedback on the occupants’ complaining behaviors by further experiments. Experimental results show that the average complaint cancellation rate is 14.78% when occupants receive energy consumption information feedback.
